WHO WE ARE
Hi, I’m Sasha — the heart behind Hearts at Ease. This isn’t just a business for me; it’s a personal promise that took shape as I worked to heal and bring steadiness to my own life.
Movement first became my refuge in childhood. Navigating trauma and trying to understand what it meant to come out as a pre-teen, long before I fully knew myself, left me searching for something that felt safe. Basketball became that space. It started as a coping mechanism — a way to channel emotions I didn’t yet have words for. Over time, it turned into a lifestyle, helping me reconnect with my body and build strength, both inside and out.
As I grew older, I faced more loss. Losing many relatives to heart disease left a deep imprint on me. I didn’t want to wait for crisis or regret to show up at my door. I wanted to protect my heart — in every sense. That meant looking closely at uncomfortable areas of my life instead of pushing them aside. It meant exploring stress, grief, and habits I’d long ignored.
Along this path, I discovered unexpected joy. I found myself diving into holistic health, learning how to nourish my body and spirit in ways that felt true to me. I realized my body was never meant to fit someone else’s narrow mold. It was meant to be supported, honored, and cared for — as uniquely as my own story.
I also became a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, working in mental health and addiction recovery. That experience gave me an even deeper understanding of the connection between emotional health, behavior change, and overall well-being. It taught me the importance of meeting people exactly where they are, listening without judgment, and helping them find their own strength through compassionate accountability.
Hearts at Ease started as a simple personal mantra: a way to remind myself to slow down, breathe deeper, and bring compassion to my journey. Now, it’s grown into a space where I help others do the same — not only through mindful movement and wellness practices, but also through life coaching .
Life coaching became a natural extension of my work when I realized so many people weren’t just seeking physical change — they wanted clarity, confidence, and a safe space to take action toward the life they envisioned. My coaching blends my whole-person philosophy with my background in mental health, addiction recovery, and trauma-informed care.
Whether you’re starting fresh, coming back after setbacks, or simply craving more balance, I’ll walk alongside you with compassion, structure, and accountability. Together, we’ll strengthen your body, steady your mind, and support your heart — because wellness isn’t just something to chase, it’s something to patiently grow. Whenever you’re ready, I’d be honored to help you begin easing hearts — starting with your own.
